Abyssinian oil (crambe abyssinica seed oil) cleanses by capturing impurities and oils, and nourishes hair without making it greasy. Its very high fatty acid content provides nutrition and shine to the hair.

Madder powder (rubia tinctorum root powder) is an Ayurvedic powder that adds shine and highlights to the hair. It also gives a pretty color to the shampoo!

Sunflower oil (helianthus annuus seed oil *) nourishes and protects the hair while being more suitable for normal hair than coconut oil. Plus, it comes from Europe.

The surfactant (sodium cocoyl isethionate) helps cleanse hair without damaging the scalp. It is of plant origin but its manufacturing process involves a chemical synthesis step, so it cannot be labeled organic.

The secondary surfactant (coco-glucoside) helps boost the foam provided by sodium cocoyl isethionate.
