Oily macerate or vegetable oil: what's the difference?

Unlike a vegetable oil obtained by cold pressing the seeds or kernels of a plant, an oily macerate results from the infusion of a plant in a neutral oil. For organic carrot oily macerate, the carrot roots are left to infuse for several weeks in a mild vegetable oil, generally organic sunflower.
